Friends are undoubtedly extremely important in everyone’s life. Whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, each individual feels the need to have someone who is going to have their back, who is going to tell them when they act wrong, who is going to be able to give them advice. Numerous Tibians managed to find a person like that… through Tibia! In this article, we are happy to present a few friendship stories, each of them started in the game and they last for long years now, some of them even turned into real-life friendships!
Let’s begin with the story of the friendship of mine (Lady Mass) and Kasia (Divine’Angel). We have met thanks to a Tibia Facebook fanpage called Tibia Girls as we were both the admins there. When Kasia joined the staff, I got asked to explain to her how everything works as we are both Polish. At first, it was rather awkward, as it usually is during the first conversation with a person you do not know; however, we got close really quick, we realized how much in common we have, side note, people often confuse us thinking we are one person based on how similar we are! To this day, we laugh together, we cry together, we always give each other advice, we motivate each other, and have each other’s back no matter what! I cannot believe that I have actually met my best friend thanks to a game, especially that we do not even play on one server! I will be thankful to Tibia for life for providing me with this friendship!
The following story presents the friendship between Flor Belina and her Tibian bestie Bharlok! It is mind-blowing that so many of us will be able to relate to this one.
The most beautiful thing in Tibia is the people you get to meet behind this screen. My friend Bharlok and I met 2 years ago in the game and have been best friends ever since. Despite the distance that separates Argentina from Spain, and not knowing each other personally, we build a friendship based on mutual trust, we help each other without asking for anything in return, and our friendship continues despite the huge time difference between South America and Europe.
The moments when we are together in Tibia are the most fun ones. We take a lot of risk in the game or do things we shouldn't be doing at our level, only to laugh together. Bharlok is that friend who always shows you a smile when he shows up.
So my friendship with Bharlok is one of the most precious treasures that Tibia has given to me. He came to my life surprisingly through this game and since then we have been inseparable.

We hunt, we do quests, achievements, and bosses together, Even in wars we are together. We set a goal of reaching level 100 and we reached it, then 200, 300 ... 350 and everything together! We both returned with the sole intention of having fun and we have accomplished more things than ever before. And of course, we finally got to know each other in person several times!
We have a very funny anecdote where we were making the Izcandar boss of Dreamcourts where the Elite Knight of our team was headshot just before finishing killing Izcandar but we were surprised to see that she looted the summerblade and I looted the winterblade, haha.
Nina and I are very different in our personalities, but Tibia undoubtedly brought us together and despite our differences, we are very good friends and she is a very special person in my life thanks to this game.
The next story that we are happy to present is the story of the friendship of Sugey and Astrid! Sugey mentioned that she has a few Tibian best friends, but she decided to describe this one as it is the longest one. The story sounds really incredible and even unbelievable! I met my friend Astrid in 2008 in Solera, I was standing at the Thais dp with my boyfriend (now he is my ex-boyfriend) and Astrid started talking to us, I liked her very much and every time she connected we talked. Back then she was lvl 150 and I was 30 haha but she was always very nice to me, we became very good friends. I ended up the relationship with that boyfriend and soon after I stopped playing Tibia, but I kept talking to Astrid on Facebook and actually one day she encouraged me to go back to play, I spent time with her in Thais dp, we talked all day, we were from different cities, in 2010 she traveled to the city where I live to meet me and we talked, we went out with more friends who also played Tibia, we had a great time, she returned to her city, and since I liked her colors I told her that I liked them a lot and she said that there was no problem that I also used them and to this day I still use them hahaha, she helped me lvl, she gave me little things and time went by and she retired because she changed cities, so I went to play a game with my boyfriend, I continued to maintain the friendship with Astrid and talking every day. I invited her to play on Zanera and I helped her just like she helped me in the past, we went hunting together. My boyfriend's friend from Zanera and Astrid liked each other, she then traveled to the city where I live to meet him and visited me, I spent 3 weeks here and we all spent it very well I remember she got very drunk! Astrid fell in love with my boyfriend's friend and the time had come for her to return to her city, and she went to her city, and the next day she returned here to the city where I live to stay and live with the friend of my boyfriend, and now we all live in the same city, we continue to maintain the friendship, we hang out a lot, it is the most sincere friendship that I have had in all the years that I have been playing Tibia, I love her very much for me she is like a sister and for my family too, she has a son and I am his godmother, and I think it is the most beautiful friendship that could happen to me in Tiibia, she is already retired from the game but sometimes she comes to talk and all this beautiful friendship was thanks to Tibia :)
The story of Kimmiey and Ervy is a perfect definition of a best friend! Achieving goals together and supporting each other while achieving them is something that we all should appreciate in friendship. Have a read and see for your own!
The friendship between me and Ervy started in September 2017. It was in Rowana, 1 month before the merge to Vunira on my Royal Pa Lady char and his Setrey char. I was making some achievement in Ab'dendriel and out of nowhere, I saw a Frost Giant running around and dancing in front of me and running away again. I never saw anyone like this before and it made me laugh a lot, so I decided to follow the guy and we started talking since that moment. We both played the game differently in the beginning. Where my interests always were more the achievements and making chillhunts, he used to be in small pk guilds and team hunts, but we continued talking everyday and eventually starting to duo hunt some. From there we started to become really good friends. In May 2018 we decided to start over in Estela as our mains of today Estelania(now Kimmiey) and Ervy. What I like the most about playing with Ervy is that he doesn't care to rush levels but prefers to chill with me and have a good time together. We have hit every milestone together like 100/200/300/400/500, we made the demon task full in duo in 1 month, we wait for each other to make new quests. We support eachother in each way, besides the game we show interest in each other’s real life also and we can talk about anything. What I value about him is that he doesn't care about people’s opinions and just does what he likes. He is always willing to help anyone with anything and not just me and I think this makes him a beautiful person in general. Even though we always play together on our mains or on our noobies we still let each other free if we want to play sometimes solo also. There is no forcing or jealousy or toxic drama, we help each other gaining the things we know the other would like to and we both don’t care for cash in that matter. I always feel supported by him and I know he has the same. I trust him and I know he will always have my back and it's the same from me to him. I am thankful to have found such a friend in Tibia, which I consider now as a friend in real also💙

For me, a best friend is one who accompanies you through thick and thin, one who expresses his friendship unconditionally, never asking for anything in return, who is loyal, honest and frank, and never abandons you. Arthie taught me that real friendships are very few, but that when you find them, you get a great prize. We should only know how to value the friendship that they give us.
